Focusing and reduction of correlated energy spread of chirped electron beams in passive plasma lens

چکیده

All-optical compact plasma focusing and transportation of electron beams, in the passive mode a lens, is studied via real geometry particle-in-cell simulations for its suitability laser wakefield acceleration technique. The an beam by lens non-linear dynamic process, which strongly depends on space charge induced evacuation electrons vicinity propagating beam. Effects such energy spread, divergence, emittance laser-driven beams are analyzed numerically different densities. An initially negative chirp shown to be instrumental suppressing unwanted growth relative spread during lensing. Usefulness element single multi-stage configuration demonstrated.
