چکیده

The X-ray emission in BL Lac objects is believed to be dominated by synchrotron from their relativistic jets. However, when the jet not strong, one could expect signatures of inverse Compton scattering accretion disc photons corona. Moreover, observed variability can also originate disc, and gets propagated amplified jet. Here, we present results on object Mrk 421 using NuSTAR data acquired during 2017 source was a moderate brightness state. For comparison with high activity, considered epoch April 2013 very Our aim explore possibility signature overall 421. spectral fitting two component advective flow model shows gives (a) size dynamic corona at base ~28 10 r$_s$, (b) mass rate 0.021 0.051 $\dot M_{\rm Edd}$, (c) halo 0.22 0.35 (d) viscosity parameter Keplerian 0.18 $-$ 0.25. In assumed model, total flux, flux correlate radio these epochs. We conclude that spectra all epochs are well described based model. estimated relations show contribute emission, (that covers small portion broad band energy distribution 421) isolation. models disfavoured respect considering conjunction other wavelengths.

Spectral Monitoring of Mrk 421 during 2004

Daily monitoring of Mrk 421 in the X-ray and TeV bands during the first half of 2004 showed rapid flaring events above an elevated base flux level, culminating from March to May 2004 at an average flux level matching the highest detected flux state in 2001. Here we summarise the daily X-ray spectral variability observed with the RXTE-PCA instrument. We also explore the X-ray and TeV gamma-ray c...

Near Infrared Intraday Variability of Mrk 421

We report results from our monitoring of the BL Lac object Mrk 421 in the near-IR J band. The observations, aimed at studying the intraday variability (IDV) of the object, were carried out systematically over an extended (and near-continuous) period of eight nights from the 1.2m Mount Abu Infrared Telescope, India. There are limited studies for Mrk 421 in the J band for such an extended period....

Limits from rapid TeV variability of Mrk 421

The extreme variability event in the TeV emission of Mrk 421, recently reported by the Whipple team, imposes the tightest limits on the typical size of the TeV emitting regions in Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). We examine the consequences that this imposes on the bulk Lorentz factor of the emitting plasma and on the radiation fields present in the central region of this Active Nucleus. No strong...

The Nonlinear Long - term X - ray Variability of Mrk 421

In this work, I present the results of a thorough nonlinear time series analysis study concerning the long-term variability behaviour of Mrk 421. I use all the archival data obtained by the proportional counter array (PCA) and the all-sky monitor (ASM) aboard the Rossi X-ray timing explorer (RXTE), since 1996. Linearity and stationarity tests reveal that the long-term timing properties of the s...

Inverse Compton X-ray Emissions from Tev Blazar Mrk 421 during a Historical Low-flux State Observed with Nustar

We report on the detection of excess hard X-ray emission from the TeV BL Lac object Mrk 421 during the historical low-flux state of the source in January 2013. NuSTAR observations were conducted four times between MJD 56294 and MJD 56312 with a total exposure of 80.9 ksec. The source flux in the 3 − 40 keV range was nearly constant except for MJD 56307, when the average flux level increased by ...
