Flow simulation of self-consolidating concrete through V-funnel for sustainable buildings

Abstract Self-consolidating concrete (SCC) is one of the trending low-yield stress material innovations new age building industry due to its ability flow through heavily reinforced structural members without segregation and losing moderate viscosity. In this research paper, a V-funnel simulation has been developed for time establish validity with allowable design conditions according European standard. The Bernoulli’s equation continuity state were adopted 515 mm upper width, 75 thick, vertical dimensions (depth) 450 150 V-section funnel duct (75 × 65 mm) respectively. Concrete shear wall was considered as factor unit weight (ρ) frictional force under downward velocity respect variational height (dh). result shows that kinematic viscosity (η) bound within limits 0 1/64. This implies η min ≈ (no friction walls), minimum (T ) becomes 8.7 sec while zero (τ N/m 2 ). However, max 1/64 (maximum walls τ ρ/64 attained) T 18.9 sec. These values fall after 10 seconds mixing, ranging between 8 seconds, 5 minutes mixing 11 25 Guidelines self-consolidating concrete. results placement during construction, are also consistent United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs) technological innovation, infrastructure, cities.
