Flotation separation of titanite concentrate from apatite-nepheline-titanite ores of anomalous zones of the Khibiny deposits

Titanium raw materials are widely used for the synthesis of various functional – sorbents radionuclides and rare earth elements, additives, filler pigments, etc. Since most titanium concentrates imported, in line with import substitution program, production titanite concentrate from apatite-nepheline ores Khibiny deposits is a promising trend supplying national industry materials. The article presents results laboratory studies flotation separation apatite-nepheline-titanite extracted upper ore horizon Koashvinskoye deposit, where titanite-enriched concentrated. Recovery was accomplished using two reagent modes mixture alkyl hydroxamic carboxylic acids addition distilled tall oil oils polyalkyl benzene sulfonic acids. research showed that first mode, which allows selective recovery into (titanite content 93.5 %) efficient. It shown preferable compared to chemical method based on sulfuric acid leaching.
