Flight crew evaluation of the flight time limitations regulation

چکیده

Fatigue has been a long-standing concern in modern aviation. The duty hours of those who operate (cabin crew and pilots) have increased significantly. In order to combat the effects fatigue, operators must adhere Flight Time Limitations (FTLs) strictly set by regulatory bodies. With advances science European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) February 2016 altered limits rest periods. A quantitative self-report survey design using descriptive statistics, chi-square tests association probit regressions with marginal effect calculations gathered perceptions about impact FTL regulation change fatigue levels, reporting safety/just culture. Participants (n = 794) were commercial cabin pilots operating under regulations. 73.2% said they not reported their airline 81.7% having operated fatigued. Scales on Knowledge Just/Safety Culture constructed. Each point increase 6-item scale shows that respondents are 8.6 percentage points less likely This study signifies is under-reported real risk safety aviation industry. substantial existing culture should be encouraged fatigue’s implications underestimated compromised for maximum aircraft labour utilisation.

Developing the Job Stress Model for Airlines Flight crew

Job is one of the most important issues in the discussion of human resources, and since the discussion of job stress in the flight crew and its relationship with the performance of the flight crew is very important and vital. This research is about recognizing and developing a model for job stress among the cabin crew of Mahan Airline. The qualitative research methodology has been followed by q...

Flight Simulation: Research Challenges and Flight Crew Assessments of Fidelity

The principal aim of simulation is to provide a platform on which environments or technology, either real or proposed, may be recreated for the purposes of training, visualisation and research. Simulators’ fidelity range widely; some aim to recreate an environment or system to such a high degree that it is difficult to distinguish between the simulator and the real system, while others simply a...

Stress Analysis of Flight Vehicles under Flight Conditions

A method is presented for the stress analysis of flight vehicles under different flight conditions including gust and control surface deflection (or maneuver) using the governing equations of rigid-body motions and elastic deformations. The Lagrangian approach is used to derive the governing equations of motions. For this purpose, the basic equations of motions are derived in terms of potential...

Limitations on Animal Flight Performance

Flight performance seems to change systematically with body size: small animals can hover and fly over a wide range of speeds, but large birds taxi for takeoff and then fly over a narrow speed range. The traditional explanation for this is that the mass-specific power required for flight varies with speed according to a U-shaped curve, and it also scales between m° and m/, where m is body mass....
