چکیده
Flexibility and rigidity properties of steady (time-independent) solutions the Euler, Boussinesq Magnetohydrostatic equations are investigated. Specifically, certain Liouville-type theorems established which show that suitable with no stagnation points occupying a two-dimensional periodic channel, or axisymmetric in (hollowed out) cylinder, must have structural symmetries. It is additionally shown such can be deformed to occupy domains themselves small perturbations base domain. As application general scheme, Arnol’d stable structurally stable.

Generalized flexibility-rigidity index.
Flexibility-rigidity index (FRI) has been developed as a robust, accurate, and efficient method for macromolecular thermal fluctuation analysis and B-factor prediction. The performance of FRI depends on its formulations of rigidity index and flexibility index. In this work, we introduce alternative rigidity and flexibility formulations. The structure of the classic Gaussian surface is utilized ...
متن کاملRigidity and flexibility of biological networks
The network approach became a widely used tool to understand the behaviour of complex systems in the last decade. We start from a short description of structural rigidity theory. A detailed account on the combinatorial rigidity analysis of protein structures, as well as local flexibility measures of proteins and their applications in explaining allostery and thermostability is given. We also br...
متن کاملPrice Rigidity and Flexibility: Recent Theoretical Developments
The price system, the adjustment of prices to changes in market conditions, is the primary mechanism by which markets function and by which the three most basic questions get answered: what to produce, how much to produce and for whom to produce. To the behaviour of price and price system, therefore, have fundamental implications for many key issues in microeconomics and industrial organization...
متن کاملProtein flexibility and rigidity predicted from sequence.
Structural flexibility has been associated with various biological processes such as molecular recognition and catalytic activity. In silico studies of protein flexibility have attempted to characterize and predict flexible regions based on simple principles. B-values derived from experimental data are widely used to measure residue flexibility. Here, we present the most comprehensive large-sca...
متن کاملRapid simulation of protein motion: merging flexibility, rigidity and normal mode analyses.
Protein function frequently involves conformational changes with large amplitude on timescales which are difficult and computationally expensive to access using molecular dynamics. In this paper, we report on the combination of three computationally inexpensive simulation methods--normal mode analysis using the elastic network model, rigidity analysis using the pebble game algorithm, and geomet...
