Enzymatic profile of Pseudomonas paucimobilis.
Pseudomonas paucimobilis, previously known as group IIK biotype 1, was found to have a significantly different enzyme profile from that of Flavobacterium multivorum, formerly group IIK biotype 2. P. paucimobilis produces several esterases and phosphatases which may contribute to its virulence.
متن کاملGenome Sequence of the Nonpathogenic Pseudomonas aeruginosa Strain ATCC 15442
Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442 is an environmental strain of the Pseudomonas genus. Here, we present a 6.77-Mb assembly of its genome sequence. Besides giving insights into characteristics associated with the pathogenicity of P. aeruginosa, such as virulence, drug resistance, and biofilm formation, the genome sequence may provide some information related to biotechnological utilization of th...
متن کاملDraft genome sequence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain ATCC 27853.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common bacterium that can cause disease. The versatility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa enables the organism to infect damaged tissues or those with reduced immunity which cause inflammation and sepsis. Here we report the genome sequence of the strain ATCC 27853.
متن کاملMeningitis caused by Pseudomonas paucimobilis.
This appears to be the first report of meningitis due to Pseudomonas paucimobilis and the first report of a clinically significant isolate of this species in the UK. Characteristics by which the species may be recognised are given, and attention is drawn to the possible confusion of Ps. paucimobilis with other yellow-pigmented pseudomonads and Flavobacterium species.
متن کاملComparative Genomics and Transcriptional Analysis of Flavobacterium columnare Strain ATCC 49512
Flavobacterium columnare is a Gram-negative fish pathogen causing columnaris disease in wild and cultured fish species. Although the pathogen is widespread in aquatic environments and fish worldwide, little is known about biology of F. columnare and mechanisms of columnaris disease pathogenesis. Previously we presented the complete genome sequence of F. columnare strain ATCC 49512. Here we pres...
