چکیده
Given a dataset of 3D points in which there is hole , i.e., region with lack information, we develop method providing surface that fits the and fills hole. The filling patch required to fulfill prescribed volume condition. fitting-filling function consists radial basis functions minimizes an energy functional involving both, fitting constraint patch, as well fairness function. We give convergence result present some graphical numerical examples.

Implicit Fitting Using Radial Basis Functions with Ellipsoid Constraint
Implicit planar curve and surface fitting to a set of scattered points plays an important role in solving a wide variety of problems occurring in computer graphics modelling, computer graphics animation, and computer assisted surgery. The fitted implicit surfaces can be either algebraic or non-algebraic. The main problem with most algebraic surface fitting algorithms is that the surface fitted ...
متن کاملHole Filling Splines with Volumen Constrains by Radial Basis Functions
In many situations we have to fill one or several holes of certain function defined in a domain where there is a lack of information inside some sub-domains. For this we have developped some methods (see [1, 2, 3, 4]). But in some practical cases we just know some specific geometrical constraints, of industrial or design type, as the special case of a specified volume inside each one of these s...
متن کاملInspection of 3D Deformable Parts Using Radial Basis Functions
In industry, one of the most common schemes to perform automated inspection tasks consists of matching a design represented by a 3D CAD model with 3D data measured by geometric sensors such as laser scanner or industrial CT. To carry out this comparison it is necessary to first align or register both the CAD model and the part 3D measurements. Usually, the part to be inspected can be considered...
متن کاملReconstruction and Representation of 3D Objects with Radial Basis Functions
1. Briefly summarize the paper’s contributions. Does it address a new problem? Does it present a new approach? Does it show new types of results? [AS] This paper presents a fast approach to reconstruct smooth, manifold surfaces from point clouds and to repair incomplete meshes using polyharmonic Radial Basis Functions (RBFs), which were previously thought to be too slow to compute to be scala...
متن کاملSkeleton Extraction of 3D Objects with Radial Basis Functions
Skeleton is a lower dimensional shape description of an object. The requirements of a skeleton differ with applications. For example, object recognition requires skeletons with primitive shape features to make similarity comparison. On the other hand, surface reconstruction needs skeletons which contain detailed geometry information to reduce the approximation error in the reconstruction proces...
