چکیده
Under pressure from existing and emerging contaminants, lotic ecosystems are becoming increasingly susceptible to ecological deterioration. Therefore, investigations of the impacts persistent organic pollutants (POPs) heavy metals on riverine fish health, water quality, biotic integrity critical. We examined effects 52 POPs health land use, based monitoring assemblages river quality 2007 2014. Among chemical species, 35 were present in tissues, including eight metals. The concentrations these 12 species presented. Most either undetected or at negligible levels although a few polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) organochlorine pesticides (OCPs; dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes heptachlor epoxide) detected above screening values (SVs). Hg, As, Cd most samples their SVs. investigated trophic guild, metal contents order Zn < Cr Cu Pb Se, while insectivorous omnivorous carnivorous. Agricultural cover showed an association with endosulfan II (R2 = 0.50, r 0.70), followed by alachlor 0.43, 0.66). For PAHs, all substances significant relationships forest cover. Ecological assessment revealed that sites poor condition, indicating direct pollutants. In conclusion, 28 detected, 16 PAHs 3 OCPs (hexachlorobenzene, lindane, concern, such action is needed curb inflow environment. studied basin under substantial threat harmful endanger biodiversity.

Contamination profile of heavy metals in marine fish and shellfish
Rapid industrialization along with advanced agricultural activities led to the contamination in aquatic environment with heavy metals. Heavy metals ultimately pass into human body through having aquatic animals like fish, prawn and crab. In this study, accumulation of heavy metals (zinc, copper, iron, cadmium and lead) in various organs of four commonly consumed fish (Euthynnus affinis...

1.0 INTRODUCTION The increasing of human population has increased the need for food supply. This with the need for quality fish protein has increased the demand for fish and fish products. The global consumption of fish and derived fish products has generally increased during recent decades (Wim et al., 2007). The cage aquaculture sector has grown very rapidly during the past 20 years and is pr...

Background: Fish is a source of nutrition; however, toxic substances and heavy metals may enter human body due to consuming contaminated fish. The aim of this study was to investigate the levels of heavy metals and DDTs in Liza parsia, a fish species, and assess the health risk of the contaminants in the fish samples. Methods: The extracted fish lipid was added with n-hexane and H2SO4 and was...
متن کاملContamination and Health Risks from Heavy Metals (Cd and Pb) and Trace Elements (Cu and Zn) in Dairy Products
Background and Purpose: Dairy products are known as an important food in human diet. This study was carried out to analyze the content of metals (Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn) in butter and cheese, and evaluates the potential health risks of metals to humans through the consumption of dairy products. Materials and Methods: In this analytical observational study, a total of 32 samples of butter and chees...
