چکیده
Stereotactic Radiosurgery has been widely utilized for the treatment of intracranial lesions, and this paper presents our experience in treating schwannomas Bangladesh. This case series was described to present institutional procedural technique adapted using stereotactic (SRS) by Linear accelerators. since starting radiosurgery program March 2019, we have treated three patients schwannoma. Two had vestibular schwannoma, one Trigeminal Schwannoma. All first underwent surgical intervention on recurrence/progression with Radiosurgery. Tumor volume ranged from 4.47 10.22 cm3. The dose prescription ranges 13 14Gy or two fractions, which subject tumor volume, its proximity a critical structure, existing neurologic deficit, optimal balance between prescribed predicted complications. procedure free any immediate adverse event. LINAC based found be safe effective option schwannomas. very good clinical outcome, patient who more than one-year post-SRS revealed significant regression size tumor.

The clinical outcome of intracranial hemangioblastomas treated with linac-based stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy
Recent publications have reported stereotactic radiosurgery as an effective and safe treatment for intracranial hemangioblastomas. However, because of the low incidence of these particular tumors, reports on large patient number studies have not yet been available. The objective of this study was to analyze the clinical results of 14 patients with 56 intracranial hemangioblastomas treated with ...
متن کاملLinac-based stereotactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery in patients with meningioma
BACKGROUND It was our purpose to analyze long-term clinical outcome and to identify prognostic factors after Linac-based fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (Linac-based FSRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in patients with intracranial meningiomas. MATERIALS AND METHODS Between 10/1995 and 03/2009, 297 patients with a median age of 59 years were treated with FSRT for intracranial men...
متن کاملIntracranial Metastatic Neuroblastoma Treated with Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery: Report of Two Novel Cases
Intracranial metastasis of neuroblastoma (IMN) is associated with poor survival. No curative therapy for the treatment of IMN currently exists. Unfractionated radiotherapy may be beneficial in the treatment of IMN given the known radiosensitivity of neuroblastoma as well as its proclivity to metastasize as discrete lesions. We present two patients with IMN treated with Gamma Knife stereotactic ...
متن کاملDevelopment of A Head Docking Device for Linac-based Stereotactic Radiosurgery System to be Installed on Neptun 10 PC Linac
Introduction: Stereotactic radiosurgery is a technique for the treatment of intracranial lesions with highly collimated x-ray beam. Linac-based radiosurgery is currently performed by two techniques: couch or pedestal mounted. In the first technique, a device is required to affix patient's head to a couch and moreover to translate it accurately. Structure of suc...
متن کاملLINAC‐based stereotactic radiosurgery for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia
Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a disabling pain condition that has classically been treated using either surgical or medical techniques. Several researchers have shown that stereotactically delivered radiation can be an effective tool in the amelioration of this condition. For these studies, the Gamma Knife was used to deliver the radiation treatment. The target location was designated as the pro...
