Aims Recruitment and retention of medical staff is a national issue. Low level means challenges in provision adequate efficient patientcare. There lack flexibility for clinicians to get time Supported Programmed Activity (SPA). Burn out existing loosing good will common which increases patients’ complaint potential risk near misses serious incidents. Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) has significant challenge like many other neighbouring Trusts term recruitment consultant psychiatrists. The aim this research was find proportion psychiatrists satisfied with current job explore their views on difficulties ways support retain them within Trust. Methods It cross-sectional survey. target population working LPT. An online questionnaire developed data collection. Data were gathered through open (free text) close (options provided) questions. Information collected regarding satisfaction, positive negative job, role, willingness continue work if they would recommend friends or colleagues join Results are reported percentages descriptive statistics. About 34% the responders (n = 38) whereas about 45% unsatisfied very unsatisfied. Regarding quality admin support, nearly 40% Similarly, 1/3 un-satisfaction available office clinic space clinical activities. Nearly 2/3 not getting SPA activities, instead 37.5% 5 more hours per week spending over contracted hours. Over 97% said, can be rewarding by acknowledging contribution, involving space, reducing case load enhance recruitment. Surprisingly 71.1% thought leaving LPT last six months only 28.9% clearly stated, stay also friend colleague join.
