The aim of this research was to analyze the poetry by Sapardi Djoko Damono on title “I Want” with a figurative language method. type descriptive qualitative and took data note poetry. collected analyzed taking several phrases results analysis poem "I Want" which written in 1989 has theme love Damono. Written meaning that is really simple, knowing true using method, along discussion. Therefore it could be concluded closely related conveys poet's desire his lover sincerely lovingly, not about conveying sweet great words through real actions.
