چکیده

Soil arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi form a mutualistic symbiosis with plant roots and produce many benefits on host plants under potted conditions, while field inoculation of AM citrus (a woody plant) has been rarely reported. The present study aimed to analyze the changes in growth, root vitality, fruit quality Citrus reticulata Blanco var. Ponkan mandarin cv. Jinshuigan grafted Poncirus trifoliata L. after mix (Diversispora versiformis, Funneliformis mosseae, Rhizophagus intraradices) single F. mosseae. After second year fungal inoculations, colonization (%), hyphal length soil, easily extractable glomalin-related soil protein content were significantly increased, difficult-to-extract was decreased. Two treatments collectively improved parameters such as polar diameter, equatorial weight fruits, peel, sarcocarp, coloration value, soluble solids content. Our study, therefore, suggested that physiological activities terms growth vitality thus quality. effect mixed-AM treatment more significant than mosseae alone.

Inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi suppresses initiation of haustoria in the root hemiparasite Pedicularis tricolor.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Plant parasitism and arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) associations have many parallels and share a number of regulatory pathways. Despite a rapid increase in investigations addressing the roles of AM fungi in regulating interactions between parasitic plants and their hosts, few studies have tested the effect of AM fungi on the initiation and differentiation of haustoria, the para...

Combined Inoculation with Multiple Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Improves Growth, Nutrient Uptake and Photosynthesis in Cucumber Seedlings

Mycorrhizal inoculation stimulates growth, photosynthesis and nutrient uptake in a wide range of host plants. However, the ultimate effects of arbuscular mycorrhyzal (AM) symbiosis vary with the plants and fungal species involved in the association. Therefore, identification of the appropriate combinations of AM fungi (AMF) that interact synergistically to improve their benefits is of high sign...

Microbial activity, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and inoculation of woody plants in lead contaminated soil

The goals of this study were to evaluate the microbial activity, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and inoculation of woody plants (Caesalpinia ferrea, Mimosa tenuiflora and Erythrina velutina) in lead contaminated soil from the semi-arid region of northeastern of Brazil (Belo Jardim, Pernambuco). Dilutions were prepared by adding lead contaminated soil (270 mg Kg(-1)) to uncontaminated soil (37 mg ...

INTRODUCTION OF SOME NEW ARBUSCULAR-MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI (AMF) FROM CITRUS RHIZOSPHERE OF IRAN

During 2001-2002, a total number of 164 soil-root samples were collected from citrus orchards of six provinces, namely, Fars, Gilan, Mazandaran, Kerman, Hormozgan and Sistan va Baloochestan. Soil samples were decanted and centrifuged and spores were collected and examined. Out of 23 identified species, five species were recognized new to Iran mycoflora. New species are as follows: Gomus albidum...

Enhancement of clover growth by inoculation of P-solubilizing fungi and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.

This study evaluated the synergism between several P-solubilizing fungi isolates and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to improve clover ( Trifolium pratense) growth in the presence of Araxá apatite. Clover was sown directly in plastic pots with 300g of sterilized washed sand, vermiculite and sepiolite 1:1:1 (v:v:v) as substrate, and grown in a controlled environment chamber. The substrate was ferti...
