Fetal intracranial hemorrhage: prenatal imaging findings and postnatal clinical outcome

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: To investigate imaging findings and postnatal clinical features of fetal intracranial hemorrhage.
Materials Method: Fetal hemorrhage cases detected in our institution between 2018 2020 by ultrasonography magnetic resonance were included. Maternal characteristics, findings, outcomes noted.
Results: A total 10 with a gestational age 21-35 weeks at the time diagnosis detected. Eight had an intraventricular hemorrhage, one case cerebellar both subdural hemorrhage. An identifiable risk factor was 60% cases. While diagnosed seven cases, 3 it that performed for indications other than In two pregnancy terminated, intrauterine death occurred born alive followed up least six months period. Among these, neurological disorder observed 66.6%.
Conclusion: plays important role characterization is complementary to ultrasonography. Hence we recommend using together its diagnosis.

Fetal neuroblastoma: ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging findings in the prenatal and postnatal IV-S stage

We report a case of a fetus with an ultrasonography diagnosis of a neuroblastoma during a routine third trimester fetal scan, which presented as a hyperechogenic nodule located above the right kidney. No other abnormalities were found in the ultrasonography scan; however, the follow-up ultrasonography during the 36th week of gestation revealed that the lesion had doubled in size. Although large cysts are usually asymptomatic, they may present as an abdominal emergency requiring surgery in the first weeks of life. We report a series of 3 patients with prenatal diagnosis of isolated cystic liver lesions diagnosed at 22, 31 and 33 weeks of gestational age. The hepatic origin of the cysts was confirme...

Spontaneous regression of pulmonary sequestration: prenatal and postnatal imaging findings.

A 28-year-old woman at 24 weeks gestation was referred to our hospital for evaluation of a fetal lung mass. The differential diagnosis initially included pulmonary sequestration (PS) and microcystic congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM), the latter because 2D color Doppler ultrasonography (US) showed no systemic artery feeding into the fetal lung lesion. At 25 weeks’ gestation, a co...

Intracranial epidermoid cyst with hemorrhage: MR imaging findings.

We present a case of a 28-year-old woman with a cerebellopontine angle and prepontine cistern epidermoid cyst with unusual signal intensity. She presented with cranial nerve neuropathy and unsteady gait. MR imaging showed a tumor mass with central area of hemorrhage and a focal area of heterogeneous signal intensity with spotty enhancement, which correlated histologically to old blood in a cyst...
