چکیده

Background: The ductus venosus (DV) transports oxygenated blood to the developing heart and brain by avoiding hepatic circulation. Due anatomical location of DV, measurement DV flow velocity waveforms indirectly disclose cardiac functions health foetus, which represents pressure gradient between umbilical vein right atrium. aim this study was evaluate value pulstality index veins in early pregnancy prediction adverse outcomes. Methods: 50 pregnant women with a single viable foetus 13 24 weeks participated prospective cross-sectional from 2021 2022 at Tanta University Hospital. Results: PI normal group ranged 0.80-1.20 mean 0.90±0.130 abnormal 0.46-0.50 0.522±0.069. S/a ration 1.74-3.18 2.30±0.40 1.50-2.05 1.833±0.212. There statistically significant difference outcomes ultrasound findings (p<0.05). Conclusions: Numerous foetal disorders that might result cardiovascular deterioration other aberrant newborns can be managed clinically predicted perinatally using Doppler examination.

retrograde ductus venosus atrio-wave as a specific predictor of perinatal mortality: a case report

as fetal compensation against hypoxemia progresses, the afterload on the heart and peripheral vascular resistance increases. eventually, the right heart fails, which is transmitted to the fetal venous system, causing decreased flow during late diastole or atrial contraction and increased resistance in the ductus venosus and inferior vena cava. the ductus has forward flow during atrial contracti...

Hypercholesterolaemia in pregnancy as a predictor of adverse pregnancy outcome.

BACKGROUND Prevention of viable spontaneous preterm birth and low birth weight through screening is one of the key aims of antenatal care as these have implications for the child, mother and society. If women can be identified to be at high risk of these adverse birth outcomes in early pregnancy, they can be targeted for more intensive antenatal surveillance and prophylactic interventions. OB...

I-46: Obstetrical Doppler

Accurate assessment of gestational age, fetal growth, and the detection of fetal and placental abnormalities are major benefits of sonography. Color Doppler can be used to assist in the identification of vascular architecture, detection of vascular pathology and visualization of blood flow changes associated with physiologic processes and disease states. The clinical applications of obstetrical...
