چکیده

Most graphites used recently in industrial processes are synthetic. The issue is that non-renewable carbon precursors frequently the conventional graphitization process, which uses a lot of energy. purpose this research to synthesis graphite from mesocarp fiber waste derived palm oil. When carbonized, lignocellulosic biomass like oil typically produce ungraphitizable carbon. novelty investigation into catalytic using ferric nitrate catalyst based on cellulose or contains material. was conducted several stages, namely preparation materials and tools, carbonization preparation, insertion carbon, characterization. degree displays proportion material organized graphitic. kind process one elements influences graphitization. Graphite synthesized fibers at temperatures less than 900 o C. Graphitized samples were analyzed SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) determine analyze crystal structure sample after being washed with acid. These tests allowed for identification analysis contents contained raw carbonized samples. use revealed good performance evaluation final graphitized Keywords: Carbon, Graphite, Ferric Nitrate, Mesocarp Fibre, Palm Oil DOI: https://doi.org/10.35741/issn.0258-2724.58.4.50

Effect of Oyster Mushroom on Biodegradation of Oil Palm Mesocarp Fibre

The problem of degradation of agricultural residues from palm oil industry is increasing due to its expansion. Lignocelloulosic waste from these industry represent large amount of unutilized resources, this is due to their high lignin content. Since white rot fungi are capable of degrading lignin, its potential for the degradation of lignocelloulosic waste from palm oil industry was accessed. T...

Influence of Fiber Content on Properties of Oil Palm Mesocarp Fiber/Poly(butylene succinate) Biocomposites

Biodegradable and environmentally friendly biocomposites produced by a combination of biodegradable thermoplastics and natural fiber have gained increasing interest in recent years. In this work, eco-friendly biocomposites made from poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) and different weight percentages (10, 30, 50, and 70 wt%) of oil palm mesocarp fiber (OPMF) were fabricated via a melt blending proce...

Effect of Electron Beam Irradiation on the Tensile Properties of Oil Palm Mesocarp Fibre/poly(butylene Succinate) Biocomposites

The present work deals with the utilization of oil palm mesocarp fibre (OPMF) and poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) to produce cost-effective biodegradable materials. The biocomposite was prepared from OPMF and PBS at a weight ratio of 70:30 via a melt blending technique without addition of any additive. This biocomposite showed relatively low tensile and water resistance properties. As a conseque...

Oil-Palm-Fibre Reinforced Phenolformaldehyde Composites

Thermophysical properties such as, effective thermal conductivity (A,,) and effective thermal diffusivity (Xc) of untreated reinforced phenol formaldehyde with different weight per centages of oil-palmfibre (x) are measured simultaneously using the transient plane source (TPS) technique between 80 to 120"C. The composites investigated contain 20, 30 and 50 weight per centage of oil-palm-fibre. ...
