چکیده
Ensiling sorghum with tropical forages has been shown to be a promising alternative for ruminant feed production, as this approach improves the quality of silage. In context, goal study was evaluate fermentation characteristics and nutritive value sweet silage made different levels Paiaguas palisadegrass Ipypora grass. The experiment conducted in completely randomized 2 x 6 factorial design four replications. Two (Paiaguas grass) were added at six (0, 20, 40, 60, 80 100%), total 48 experimental silos. After 50 days fermentation, silos opened, profile chemical composition analysed. results showed that addition grass increased pH, buffering capacity NH3-NT reduced its dry matter content but did not affect characteristics, which remained within an appropriate range. increasing crude protein vitro digestibility (IVDMD) decreased fibre fraction (neutral detergent fibre, acid lignin) ether extract contents. Adding material above 40% is recommended. Among forage crops, resulted higher IVDMD. Mixed silages can effective improve

Nutritive value, fermentation characteristics, and in situ disappearance kinetics of sorghum silage treated with inoculants.
Fibrolytic enzymes and microbial inoculants have the potential to improve the value of sorghum feedstuff and feedstock. An experiment was conducted to determine nutritive value, ensiling characteristics, and in situ disappearance kinetics of 4 sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) silage varieties: Dairy Master BMR (DBMR; brown midrib; Richardson Seed, Vega, TX), PS 747 (PS; photoperiod sensitive; Pogue...

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Streptococcus bovis on the fermentation characteristics and nutritive value of Tanzania grass silage. Tanzania grass was chopped and left untreated (U) or treated with Streptococcus bovis JB1 at 1 × 10(6) colony-forming units per gram (cfu/g) of fresh forage or Streptococcus bovis HC5 at 1 × 10(6) cfu/g of fresh forage and packed into sixtuplicate lab...

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of inoculation of homo-fermentative lactic acid bacteria(LAB) on ensiling characteristics and nutritive value of low dry matter corn silage (LDMCS). Corn foragewas harvested at milk stage (22.8 ± 0.9% DM), chopped at theoretical length of cut (TLC) 2.5 cm, and stored in eighteen 3.8 L mini silos for each treatment. The following treatments were u...

The effect of 14 microbial inoculants on the fermentation and nutritive value of alfalfa silages was studied under laboratory conditions. The first cut (477 g of dry matter/kg) and second cut (393 g of dry matter/kg) of a second-year alfalfa stand were ensiled in 2 trials. In both trials alfalfa was harvested with standard field equipment. All inoculants were applied at 1.0 x 10(6) cfu/g of cro...
