Femtosecond infrared optical vortex lasers based on optical parametric amplification

Abstract Infrared femtosecond optical vortices open up many new research fields, such as micro–nano manipulation, time-resolved nonlocal spectroscopy in solids, vortex secondary radiation and particle generations. In this article, we demonstrate a laser system based on two-stage parametric amplifier. our experiment, 1.45 μm signal pulses with energy of 190 μJ 1.8 idler 158 have been obtained, the pulse durations are 51 48 fs, respectively. Both fluctuations less than 0.5% (root mean square), spectral 1.5% within 1 hour. This type highly stable has wide range applications for strong-field physics.
