Female patients with androgenetic alopecia: immunohistochemical picture of scalp biopsies

چکیده

The aim of the research. To expand knowledge about immunohistochemical changes in female patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) focusing on non-androgenic co-factors pathogenesis disease, as this may serve a basis for improving therapeutic regimens.
Materials and methods. Scalp biopsies were examined by method. study included two groups: main group 30 aged 22 to 40 years, average age 32,13±5,03 control that 20 skin samples from women 25–40 years (average 34,75±4,19 years) who underwent autopsies.
Results. It was found AGA is characterized number immunomorphological manifestations: inflammatory infiltrate consists immunocompetent T-lymphocytes CD3+, CD4+ CD8+, macrophages (CD68+); imbalance growth polypeptides VEGF, TGF-β1, EGFR; accumulation oxidative stress enzymes eNOS iNOS; pathological fraction Collagen IV.
Conclusions. data obtained helps improve concept morphogenesis AGA, also can become base standards treatment disease. triade “oxidative stress-microinflammation- fibrosis” should be considered possible target, well peptides.

Immunohistochemical analysis of T-cell subsets in the inflammatory infiltrates of alopecia areata and its comparison with androgenetic alopecia

Background: Androgenic hair loss (AGA) and alopecia areata (AA) are common conditions which sometimes are histologically difficult to differentiate. This study was conducted to detect differentiating features of these two disorders with IHC analysis of T-cell subsets in the inflammatory infiltrates of alopecia areata and androgenetic alopecia. Methods: This cr...

Relationship between female androgenetic alopecia and serum lipid levels

Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a non-scarring alopecia which consists of miniaturization of the terminal hair under the influence of androgens. Some scholars have reported an association between AGA and coronary artery disease (CAD), probably due to alterations in CAD risk factors. However, this association is not supported by other studies, thus rendering the subject open to discus...

Prostaglandin D2 inhibits hair growth and is elevated in bald scalp of men with androgenetic alopecia.

Testosterone is necessary for the development of male pattern baldness, known as androgenetic alopecia (AGA); yet, the mechanisms for decreased hair growth in this disorder are unclear. We show that prostaglandin D(2) synthase (PTGDS) is elevated at the mRNA and protein levels in bald scalp compared to haired scalp of men with AGA. The product of PTGDS enzyme activity, prostaglandin D(2) (PGD(2...

Prevalence of androgenetic alopecia in patients and its relationship with the history of coronary heart disease

Background and Aim: Androgenetic alopecia is a type of androgen and genetic dependent hair loss and although it is more of a beauty issue, but in recent years studies have shown that this type of alopecia is associated with underlying disorders such as coronary artery disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of androgenetic alopecia in hospitalized patients and its relations...
