چکیده
Introduction In this research the Paris School (I.P.S.O.), by P. Marty, is chosen as theoretical and clinical basis of Psychosomatics. We work with degree mentalization (good, bad uncertain) -obtained through Marty’s Psychosomatic Classification-, a previous diagnosis prognosis 120 infertile women undergoing treatment at Assisted Reproduction Unit (ARU) Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid. Objectives a) To analyse statistical coincidence between female infertility, stress alexithymia syndrome. b) verify differences psychosomatic disorders other somatoform symptoms syndromes (conversive hypochondriac). c) test following hypothesis: subjects whose deficient, present high stress. Methods Techniques were examined means psychodiagnostic tests. Diagnostic tools : Mary’s Classification (P.C.) (semi-structured interview), diagnosing mentalization; T.A.S. (Toronto Alexithymia Scale); Battery measurement questionnaires (H.A.D., PANAS. IRE, MCMQ). The correlation results C.P. different Stress independent variable (success or failure pregnancy selected subjects) has been studied, applying Spearman’s Correlation Coefficient. Results With respect to what was obtained Classification: - questionnaire yields coefficient [-0.48]. Therefore, there negative presence alexithymia; words, increases, decreases vice versa; There positive [0.39] Mentalization (Psychosomatic Classification) stress; therefore, existence does not prevent better mentalization. Conclusions concludes: that people risk for have scores on “alexithymia”; patients do necessarily suffer from “stress” situations; are many indicators behavior psychological functioning differentiate conversive hypochondriac both their etiology development; d) infertility e) no Disclosure Interest None Declared

Alexithymia in male infertility.
The continuing confrontation with the thoughts and feelings surrounding an unfulfilled wish for a child makes coping very difficult. There is empirical evidence that, in medical illnesses associated with stress and loss of quality of life, patients react with alexithymia, which means a difficulty to communicate emotions. In this study we compared 84 infertile men with a group of 96 healthy men ...
متن کاملFemale Infertility and Assisted Reproduction: Impact of Oxidative Stress
Oxidative stress (OS) occurs with an overabundance of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and the inability of scavengers, i.e. antioxidants, to neutralize excessive loads of ROS. OS has a role in the etiopathologenesis of many factors causing natural infertility. Infertility is a problem of great magnitude affecting 6 million American women. The etiologies of unexplained infertility and r...
متن کاملPower of Proteomics in Linking Oxidative Stress and Female Infertility
Endometriosis, PCOS, and unexplained infertility are currently the most common diseases rendering large numbers of women infertile worldwide. Oxidative stress, due to its deleterious effects on proteins and nucleic acids, is postulated to be the one of the important mechanistic pathways in differential expression of proteins and in these diseases. The emerging field of proteomics has allowed id...
متن کاملACUPUNCTURE AND FEMALE INFERTILITY About infertility
About infertility Infertility is the inability of a couple to get pregnant despite having regular unprotected sex. A couple is regarded as infertile if, after regular sexual intercourse, they have not conceived in two years. It is estimated that one in seven UK couples has difficulty conceiving (HFEA, 2006). 3 The causes of female infertility are multifaceted, and may extend to either of the partners or even both. Indeed, the root issues of infertility can be related to both sexes: approximately 50 percent of infertility is caused by female conditions, while approximately 40 percent is male related. It is also worth noting that in 25 percent of infert...
