چکیده
This study aims at improving shearography non-destructive testing (NDT) of deep defects in thick composites with thermal loading. Instead conventional global heating (GH), the core idea is to apply novel spatially modulated (SMH) for NDT. In this paper, finite element method (FEM) has been used advance towards a quantitative inspection tool composites. Both GH and SMH have performed experimentally modelled Abaqus evaluate corresponding efficacies detection defects. was achieved by using halogen lamp Fresnel lens. The heat flux distribution on specimen surface taken into consideration defect detection, factor which rarely reported inspection. Besides, influence different reference states NDT also studied looking defect-induced phase maps from shearography. results indicate that proposed can improve 2 3 times GH. It should be addressed similar defect-free sample currently necessary compare defective one.

Low-velocity strikes are considered as one of the most dangerous load types for composites, especially in aviation. They do not lead to an immediate destruction of a whole detail, but inner damage, provoking a delamination between layers or between fiber and matrix, lowers the material strength and may cause a destruction during the flight. This inner damage can only be noticed via complex stud...

This paper analyzes the performance of a robotic system with two machines in which machines are configured in a circular layout and produce non-identical parts repetitively. The non-destructive testing (NDT) is performed by a stationary robotic arm located in the center of the circle, or a cluster tool. The robotic arm integrates multiple tasks, mainly the NDT of the part and its transition bet...
