چکیده
Introduction. Superficial vein thrombosis is characterized by the formation of thrombi in superficial veins with subocclusion or occlusion venous lumen and its inflammatory reaction, which occurs more often lower extremities. Chronic disease 75–88% cases most important clinically identified factor development thrombosis. The great saphenous affected 60–80% cases. A population-based study found that chronic a risk for thromboembolism correlates an increased mortality patients. Venous major burden worldwide, approximately 10 000 per year. Objective: to assess prevalence patients identify relationship between diameter Materials methods. Total 925 were analyzed from January 2019 December 2021 at Clinical Department Surgery, Traumatology, Orthopedics, Phthisiology Sumy State University (Sumy Laser Clinic, LLC) who undergoing treatment. examined diameters reflux using ultrasound mm below sapheno-femoral junction, upper thirds thigh. Results: Of cases, was observed 53 accounted 5.73 % total. Women 67.9 (36), men – 32.1 (17). included aged 25 69 years (mean age 52.62 ± 10.48 years). In 69.8 (37) ≥ level junction; 49 (26) third thigh; 30.2 (16) That is, extension junction trunk thigh preserved 43.24% Conclusion. results revealed high (5.73%) 69.8% all registered large (≥ mm) vein.

Endovenous saphenous vein ablation in patients with acute isolated superficial-vein thrombosis
OBJECTIVE The possible benefits of endovenous saphenous ablation (EVSA) as initial treatment in patients presenting with isolated superficial-vein thrombosis (SVT) and saphenous vein reflux include: (1) definitive treatment of the underlying pathology and (2) elimination of the saphenous vein as a path for pulmonary emboli, which (3) may eliminate the need for anticoagulation. METHODS In a te...
متن کاملComparison of therapeutic results of large saphenous vein resection with conventional methods and standard bridging
Background: The use of the traditional method for saphenous vein harvesting is associated with wound complications and not on-time patient mobilization. This has caused the improvement of minimally invasive vein harvesting techniques, together with general bridging. This study was designed to compare the therapeutic results of...
متن کاملRisk Factors of Deep Vein Thrombosis in Cancer Patients
Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a significant complication in cancer patients which was found in 4-20% of the patients. This study was aimed to evaluate risk factors of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in cancer patients in an oncology center in Indonesia. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study. Data were obtained from medical records of adult cancer patients with DVT referring ...
متن کاملLong-segment hypoplasia of great saphenous vein with posterior accessory saphenous vein as a connecting vein: a case report
Aplasia or hypoplasia of great saphenous vein (GSV) is relatively common. Most of them are segmental and localized around the knee. They rarely extend to the inguinal area, yet in case of this, the anterior accessory saphenous vein (AASV) is the most common connecting vein. We report a case of a 22-year-old male who underwent surgery for pain and heaviness of the right calf. He had the hypoplas...
متن کاملPrediction of Post-interventional Outcome in Great Saphenous Vein Incompetence: The Role of Venous Plethysmography with Selective Superficial Vein Occlusion.
OBJECTIVE/BACKGROUND To evaluate whether the outcome of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) treatment of great saphenous vein (GSV) incompetence may be predicted using strain-gauge plethysmography (SGP) with selective occlusion of the superficial venous system. METHODS Seventeen patients (20 limbs) underwent endovenous RFA treatment for GSV incompetence (Clinical Etiology Anatomy Pathophysiology cl...
