چکیده

In this paper, we review the state of art in detection, location, and diagnosis faults electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) including electric power grid vehicles machines. Most test methods rely on measurements either currents voltages or high frequency reflections from impedance discontinuities. Of these methods, phasor, travelling wave reflectometry methods. The summarized include time domain (TDR), sequence (STDR), spread spectrum (SSTDR), orthogonal multi-tone (OMTDR), noise (NDR), chaos (CTDR), binary (BTDR), (FDR), multicarrier (MCR), time-frequency (TFDR). All result complex data sets (reflectometry signatures) that are time/frequency/spatial domains. Automated analysis techniques needed to detect, locate, diagnose fault genetic algorithm (GA), neural networks (NN), particle swarm optimization, teaching-learning-based backtracking search inverse scattering, iterative approaches. We summarize several electromagnetic time-reversal (TR) matched-pulse (MP) approach. also discuss issue soft (small changes) augment their signatures, challenges branched networks. suggest directions for future research development.

Online fault diagnosis for nonlinear power systems

This paper considers the problem of automatic fault diagnosis for transmission lines in large scale power networks. Since faults in transmission lines threatens stability of the entire power network, fast and reliable fault diagnosis is an important problem in transmission line protection. This work is the first paper exploiting sparse signal recovery for the fault-diagnosis problem in power ne...

The Diagnostic Challenge Competition: Probabilistic Techniques for Fault Diagnosis in Electrical Power Systems

Reliable systems health management is an important research area of NASA. A health management system that can accurately and quickly diagnose faults in various on-board systems of a vehicle will play a key role in the success of current and future NASA missions. We introduce in this paper the ProDiagnose algorithm, a diagnostic algorithm that uses a probabilistic approach, accomplished with Bay...

Web Services for Automated Fault Analysis in Electrical Power Systems

Web Services for Automated Fault Analysis (WS-AFA) in Electrical Power System are described in this paper. WS-AFA is a new Information Technology solution for automated investigation and analysis of fault and disturbance records obtained from Digital Fault Recorders (DFRs) or other Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) in substations. The paper describes the overall system architecture as well ...
