Fatigue Crack Propagation and Life Analysis of Stud Connectors in Steel-Concrete Composite Structures

To investigate the fatigue performance of stud connectors steel-concrete structures, crack propagation analysis and life calculation were carried out. Firstly, finite element model with initial based on linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) was established, parameter stress intensity factors (SIFs) studs cracks different geometric sizes performed. Then, mixed-type I-type calculated, variation effective SIFs depth analyzed. Finally, flow chart evaluation which considers initiation stable presented, short steel-UHPC composite structures taken as an example verified. The results show that type have obvious influence stud. It has acceptable accuracy in UHPC simulated by considering initiation. critical damage parameters are greatly affected amplitude, can account for more than 90% total life. This paper provide a reference evaluating structures. Accurate conforms to concept sustainable development.
