Fate of P from organic and inorganic fertilizers assessed by complementary approaches

چکیده
Abstract Long-term field experiments (LTFEs) can provide an extensive overview on the effectiveness of phosphorus (P) management. In order to have a detailed insight into availability and distribution P in soil as affected by organic inorganic fertilizers (no P, triple-superphosphate (TSP), compost + TSP), samples collected at LTFE established 1998 Northern Germany different sampling dates depths were subjected characterization including double-lactate method (P-dl) standard test, degree sorption (DPS), sequential fractionation isotopic exchange kinetics. While type fertilizer had rarely effect pools, higher amounts applied resulted increased values P-dl, labile fractions that was isotopically exchangeable within 1 min ( p < 0.05). The DPS varied from average 40.2% P) 47.2% (compost TSP) with small variations during experimental time. contrast, significant shifts less available readily pools measured between autumn 2017 spring 2019. differences budgets treatments corresponded total stocks 0–90 cm, yet estimated upward or downward movement consequences long-term deficit surplus P. use complementary methods this study contributed better understanding potential long term perspective.

Substitution of inorganic fertilizers with organic manure reduces nitrate accumulation and improves quality of purslane
Growers often apply high amounts of chemical fertilizers for vegetable production and this application contributes to concerns about nitrate levels in food. An experiment was conducted to investigate soil N amendment effects for reducing the nitrate accumulation and improving the quality of fresh purslane (Portulaca ...
متن کاملNitrate and ammonium losses from surface-applied organic and inorganic fertilizers
Animal manures are a valuable resource, providing readily available plant nutrients ; however, runoff from lands receiving animal manure has been shown to contribute to water pollution. Understanding the loss of nutrients from slow release fertilizers, such as animal manure, after application is critical in determining and designing practices to reduce and/or control the temporal availability a...
متن کاملStudies on Storage Behavior of Cabbage Head as Influenced by Organic Amendments and Inorganic Fertilizers
The influence of organic amendments and inorganic fertilizers on cabbage head was investigated to determine their effect on storage behavior and organoleptic quality. Field cabbage was raised by combining fourteen different treatments comprising of organic amendments and inorganic fertilizers at different levels. The result showed that nutrient schedule of the crop significantly influenced the ...
متن کاملEffects of organic and inorganic fertilizers on growth and yield of chickpea cultivars in dryland farming conditions
Considering the importance of organic fertilizers application and the necessity of minimizing the use of inorganic fertilizers, this experiment was conducted in order to study the possibility of replacing vermicompost and poultry manure instead of chemical fertilizers in the production of two improved chickpea cultivars under dryland conditions. The experiment was laid out in a factorial arrang...
متن کاملOrganic Fertilizers and Composts
Introduction Interest in organic production methods for vegetables continues to increase. Production practices for organic field production of vegetables have a long history, but practices to grow organic vegetable transplants in a spring greenhouse are poorly known. Organic fertilizers and composts are available but the efficacy and rates for use have not been evaluated. Experiments in the sum...
