Family life and Chinese adults’ happiness across the life span

چکیده
An individual's happiness is closely related to their family life as the institution in which they spend most of life. Capitalizing on data from 2018 China Family Panel Studies, this study investigates relationship between economic standing (measured by household income and homeownership) processes marital status childlessness), well children's characteristics gender composition children adult educational attainment status), Chinese adults. We take a life-course perspective examine how such relationships vary across different stages. find that factors like homeownership are positively for people general; married adults happier than those who unmarried; childlessness results decreased individual old age; attainment, measured college degree (three-year four-year) above, improves parents’ happiness; while unmarried makes parents less happy. These significant also change span.
