Failure prediction of a new sandwich panels based on flax fibres reinforced epoxy bio-composites

Flax fibres reinforced polymer composites are more and used in various fields such as transportation due to the low density of flax paired up with good mechanical properties. This calls for a better understanding prediction behaviour composites. In this study, fabric has been studied experimentally numerically composite laminates Omega stiffened Sandwich Panels. Composites plies exhibited strong non-linear particular structure which is investigated. Likewise, omega sandwich panels presented same high strength making them competitive conventional glass aeronautics. A material model proposed describe four phases that implemented get predictive finite element (FE) .Different damage laws have identified calibrated UMAT routine (FE). The ply includes diffuse damage, failure residual strain. validated many stacking sequences. including phase demonstrate reproduce crack locations buckling zones amplitudes panel under tension three points bending.
