Factors Influencing Purchase Intention of Food Surplus through a Food-Sharing Platform

Food waste is a serious issue around the world. One way to address this distributing food surpluses through food-sharing platforms. There are limited number of empirical studies investigating drivers using surplus-sharing platforms, particularly in developing countries. This paper investigates impacts and connections between environmental concern, perceived playfulness, social norms, awareness, price consciousness, neophobia, purchase intention surplus platform Thailand. A sample 284 Yindii users was analyzed by exploratory factor analysis multiple regression. Empirical results revealed concern playfulness be primary constructs influencing consumers’ toward surplus. The suggest that most crucial determinant affecting intention. Our also indicated people who have obtained higher education level low-income group show products. research first attempt study redistribution contributes literature provides insights for practitioners with several implications.
