Factors Affecting the Simultaneous Removal of Nitrate and Reactive Black 5 Dye via Hydrogen-Based Denitrification

چکیده

Textile wastewater (TW) contains toxic pollutants that pose both environmental and human health risks. Reportedly, some of these pollutants, including NO3?, NO2? reactive black 5 (RB-5) dye, can be removed via hydrogen-based denitrification (HD); however, it is still unclear how different factors affect their simultaneous removal. This study aimed to investigate the effect H2 flow rate, sparging cycle air H2, initial dye concentration on TW treatment process. Thus, two reactors, an anaerobic HD reactor a combined aerobic/anaerobic reactor, were used performance. The results obtained increasing rate in increased nitrogen removal decolorization rates. Further, time for significantly enhanced pollutant reactor. Furthermore, increase resulted lower Additionally, was decolorized during process bacterial degradation, decrease rate. Bacterial communities, Xanthomonadaceae, Rhodocyclaceae, Thauera spp., are presented as microbial species play key role mechanisms related RB-5 under conditions. However, reactors showed similar efficiencies; hence, based results, use system should reduce organic/inorganic contents real textile before discharging recommended.

Adsorption Behaviour of Reactive Black Dye 5 by Magnetically Separable Nano-adsorbent

Dyes in the textile industry are the most significant source of pollutants, which cause damaging effects to people’s health. Reactive black 5 (RD5) is an anionic color that is currently used in the textile industry. This study is designed to provide the strategies to synthesize and characterize the new family of functionalized magnetite nanoparticles via a chemical co-precipitation method with ...

Electrode Composition of Reactive Black 5 Dye in Aqueous Solution

High oxygen evolution overpotential and inexpensive Ti/Co3O4/PbO2/(SnO2+Sb2O3) and (Ti/(SnO2+Sb2O3) electrodes were investigated in this work. These electrodes were prepared and used as anodes for removal of Reactive Black 5 (RB5) dye in aqueous solution. In some local cases in Palestine, wastewater color was found to be the only problem in meeting local effluent standards. This investigation r...
