Factors Affecting Small-Scale Broiler Chicken Farm Profitability and Challenges Faced by Farmers in Egyptian Rural

This study was conducted in Al-Sharkia and El-Fayoum provinces, Egypt, aimed to determine factors affecting small-scale broiler chicken farm profitability challenges faced by farmers Egyptian rural. A stratified random sampling technique applied collect data from 200 individual randomly selected two 100 each province. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with questionnaires direct observation at the level. The log-linear regression model form of a flexible Cobb-Douglas production function used analyze farms. results indicated that women (60%) majority owned flocks. average respondent farmer’s age 41.98 years old. performance low medium performance. coefficients value experience, gender, education, labor type, extension, training, veterinary, credit, flock size, management interventions, marketing information, market price live chickens positive influences, while farmer age, feed cost, home consumption, mortality rate negatively influence profitability. major producers increase their are poor quality access marketing, veterinary services credit. Therefore, efficient resources, should be implemented support producers.
