Factor Analysis Affecting English Speaking Proficiency Based Open Access Articles on ScienceDirect Database

This study explores the factors affecting ability to speak English. The method used in this is systematic review with PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) model. ScienceDirect database. article search process uses of identification, screening, eligibility, inclusion. First, identification was keyword “English-speaking” as filter, then it continued by latest 5-years publication. screening performed open access archive criteria, while eligibility research objectives conformity. inclusion final stage chosen based on focus. revealed that English are; gender, native-speaker teachers, self-efficacy, peers, culture, motivation, a lingua franca. weakness data taken from articles open-access databases only. Therefore, other researchers are suggested conduct reviews using multi-databases such Web Science, Emerald, Wiley, Sage.
