Facile Synthesis of CO 2 ‐Responsive Nano‐Objects: Batch versus Semi‐Batch RAFT Copolymerization

Thang, Anchao Feng, Zhao Wang, and co-workers, a series of well-defi ned CO2-responsive statistical, gradient block copolymer nano-objects are synthesized through batch, semi-batch stepwise reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. aqueous solution, the copolymers can self-assemble into various aggregates before CO2 stimulus. Upon bubbling CO2, prefer to form nanosheet-like structures, while statistical with similar molar mass only larger vesicles thinner membrane thickness or disassemble.
