Facile preparation of commercial Bi2O3 nanoparticle decorated activated carbon for pseudocapacitive supercapacitor applications

In this work, a facile method to prepare Bi2O3 decorated activated carbon (Bi2O3@AC) composites with high pseudocapacitive properties was presented. The inorganic–organic synthesized using commercial and active different weight ratio. were assessed spectroscopic, microscopic, diffractive techniques. Our assessments confirmed that carbons successfully doped nanoparticles dopant rates. electrochemical performance of as-prepared materials researched by cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry, impedance spectroscopy in 6 M KOH electrolyte. Higher specific capacitance achieved for increased nanoparticle composites. 20%-Bi2O3@AC had maximum 565 F/g at current density 1 A/g. addition, the symmetrically assembled supercapacitor delivers energy (23.0 Wh kg−1). Moreover, 67% initial is maintained after 1500 cycles 200 mV/s, suggesting good cycling stability. Due synergistic effect compositing promising observed not obtained bare AC or Bi2O3. As result, composite it may be used as potential electrode supercapacitor.
