Facial rehabilitation with implant-retained nasal prosthesis of acrylic resin: a case report

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to report a clinical case facial rehabilitation with an acrylic implant-retained nasal prosthesis after partial rhinectomy resulting from the resection basal cell carcinoma in patient, 53-year-old Caucasian, normosystemic, professional cowboy. After examination and possession computed tomography images, surgery performed for placement conventional dental implants premaxillary region (left side). surgery, three-month period waiting observed allow osseointegration implants. Later, prepared, at end treatment, presented satisfactory peripheral adaptation, retention esthetics. patient has returned follow-up every 6 months, regarding analysis color, peri-implant health, hygiene, exchange magnets relays when necessary. authors concluded that therapy may be well indicated patients total defects, provided there is correct planning execution surgical, laboratory phases.
