چکیده
Quantum-mechanical calculations of electron magnetotransport in ideal graphene nanoribbons are presented. In noninteracting theory, it is predicted that an ribbon attached to wide leads should reveal Fabry-P\'erot conductance oscillations magnetic field. the theory with Coulomb interaction taken into account, oscillation pattern rather be determined by Aharonov-Bohm interference effect. Both these theories predict formation quasi-bound states, albeit different structures, inside because strong scattering on interfaces between connecting and leads. Conductance a result resonant via quasibound states.

Aharonov-Bohm interference in topological insulator nanoribbons.
Topological insulators represent unusual phases of quantum matter with an insulating bulk gap and gapless edges or surface states. The two-dimensional topological insulator phase was predicted in HgTe quantum wells and confirmed by transport measurements. Recently, Bi(2)Se(3) and related materials have been proposed as three-dimensional topological insulators with a single Dirac cone on the sur...
متن کاملKlein backscattering and Fabry-Pérot interference in graphene heterojunctions.
We present a theory of quantum-coherent transport through a lateral p-n-p structure in graphene, which fully accounts for the interference of forward and backward scattering on the p-n interfaces. The backreflection amplitude changes sign at zero incidence angle because of the Klein phenomenon, adding a phase pi to the interference fringes. The contributions of the two p-n interfaces to the pha...
متن کاملFabry-Pérot interference in gapped bilayer graphene with broken anti-Klein tunneling.
We report the experimental observation of Fabry-Pérot interference in the conductance of a gate-defined cavity in a dual-gated bilayer graphene device. The high quality of the bilayer graphene flake, combined with the device's electrical robustness provided by the encapsulation between two hexagonal boron nitride layers, allows us to observe ballistic phase-coherent transport through a 1-μm-lon...

متن کاملA graphene-based Fabry-Pérot spectrometer in mid-infrared region
Mid-infrared spectroscopy is of great importance in many areas and its integration with thin-film technology can economically enrich the functionalities of many existing devices. In this paper we propose a graphene-based ultra-compact spectrometer (several micrometers in size) that is compatible with complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) processing. The proposed structure uses a monola...
