چکیده

Currently, the TiO2/CdS photoanodes based dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have shown extraordinary developments in photo-conversion efficiency. In this report, pristine TiO2, CdS and various molar ratios of were prepared by one step microwave irradiation route followed doctor blade method. The sheet-like morphology TiO2 nanoparticles clearly evident from SEM TEM images. A significant reduction bandgap with enhanced light absorption rapid prevention electron hole pair was explored UV-DRS PL studies. photocurrent density–voltage (J–V) electrochemical impedance (EIS) characteristics analyzed for assembled cell. efficiency 12.8% obtained configuration (200 mg) that represent a 2.5-fold increment compared to bare (5.33%) as well commercial Pt (6.11%). experimental results are discussed.

Acid azo dyes for efficient molecular photovoltaic: study of dye-sensitized solar cells performance

In this paper we sensitized three free-metal azo days Dye 1, Dye 2 and Dye 3 based on 1,8-naphthalimide with n-propyl as the electron donor group. We used sulfonic acid and hydroxyl substituents as the electron acceptor anchoring group in synthesized dyes. The proposed dyes were sensitized from acenaphthene as the starting material by standard reactions and characterized by different techniques...

Applications of light scattering in dye-sensitized solar cells.

Light scattering is a method that has been employed in dye-sensitized solar cells for optical absorption enhancement. In conventional dye-sensitized solar cells, large TiO(2) particles with sizes comparable to the wavelength of visible light are used as scatterers by either being mixed into the nanocrystalline film to generate light scattering or forming a scattering layer on the top of the nan...

Enhanced photovoltaic properties in dye sensitized solar cells by surface treatment of SnO2 photoanodes

We report the fabrication and testing of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) based on tin oxide (SnO2) particles of average size ~20 nm. Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) conducting glass substrates were treated with TiOx or TiCl4 precursor solutions to create a blocking layer before tape casting the SnO2 mesoporous anode. In addition, SnO2 photoelectrodes were treated with the same precursor soluti...

Covalent modification of photoanodes for stable dye-sensitized solar cells.

This paper describes the surface modification of TiO2 with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) followed by covalent attachment of Ru-based N719 dye molecules to TiO2 through an amide linkage for use as photoanodes (PAs) in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) confirms the surface chemistry between the TiO2 and dye. ...

High-Performance Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Based on Morphology-Controllable Synthesis of ZnO–ZnS Heterostructure Nanocone Photoanodes

High-density and well-aligned ZnO-ZnS core-shell nanocone arrays were synthesized on fluorine-doped tin oxide glass substrate using a facile and cost-effective two-step approach. In this synthetic process, the ZnO nanocones act as the template and provide Zn2+ ions for the ZnS shell formation. The photoluminescence spectrum indicates remarkably enhanced luminescence intensity and a small redshi...
