FABP5 enhances malignancies of lower?grade gliomas via canonical activation of NF??B signaling

چکیده

Low-grade gliomas (LGGs) are grade III based on the WHO classification with significant genetic heterogeneity and clinical properties. Traditional histological of has been challenged by improvement molecular stratification; however, reproducibility diagnostic accuracy LGGs still remain poor. Herein, we identified fatty acid binding protein 5 (FABP5) as one most enriched genes in malignant elevated FABP5 revealed severe outcomes LGGs. Functionally, lentiviral suppression reduced characters including proliferation, cloning formation, immigration, invasion TMZ resistance, contrarily, malignancies were enhanced exogenous overexpression FABP5. Mechanistically, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) was correlated to expression tumour necrosis factor ? (TNF?)-dependent NF-?B signalling involved this process. Furthermore, induced phosphorylation inhibitor nuclear kappa-B kinase (IKK?) thus activated (NF-?B) signalling. Taken together, our study indicated that enhances through canonical activation signalling, which could be used individualized prognostic biomarker potential therapeutic target

Notch signaling enhances nestin expression in gliomas.

Recent findings suggest that Notch signaling is active in brain tumors and stem cells, and that stem cells or cells with progenitor characteristics contribute to brain tumor formation. These stem cells are marked by expression of several markers, including nestin, an intermediate filament protein. We have studied how the Notch signaling pathway affects nestin expression in brain tumors. We find...

Naringin enhances osteogenic differentiation through the activation of ERK signaling in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

Objective(s): Naringin has been reported to regulate bone metabolism. However, its effect on osteogenesis remains unclear. The aim was to investigate the effect of naringin on osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) through the activation of the ERK signaling pathway in osteogenic differentiation. Materials and Methods: Annexin V-FITC assay and MTT assay ...

CAPE suppresses migration and invasion of prostate cancer cells via activation of non-canonical Wnt signaling

Prostate cancer (PCa) was the fifth most common cancer overall in the world. More than 80% of patients died from PCa developed bone metastases. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is a main bioactive component of honeybee hive propolis. Transwell and wound healing assays demonstrated that CAPE treatment suppressed the migration and invasion of PC-3 and DU-145 PCa cells. Gelatin zymography and W...

FAM3A enhances adipogenesis of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes via activation of ATP-P2 receptor-Akt signaling pathway

FAM3A plays important roles in regulating hepatic glucose/lipid metabolism and the proliferation of VSMCs. This study determined the role and mechanism of FAM3A in the adipogenesis of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. During the adipogenesis of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes, FAM3A expression was significantly increased. FAM3A overexpression enhanced 3T3-L1 preadipocyte adipogenesis with increased phosphorylated Akt...
