Extrinsic magnetoelectric effect at the BaTiO3/Ni interface

چکیده

We theoretically investigate the interfacial magnetoelectric effect in BaTiO3/Ni heterostructure. find that coupling, specifically, dependence of magnetic moment Ni on polarization direction, primarily stems from flow screening charge into BaTiO3 with a minor contribution coming chemical bonding. The estimated change respect to bulk is as high ∼7%, which significant modulation. also examine effects oxidation electronic structures and strength coupling BaTiO3/NiO/Ni structure. an enhancement bonding contribution, making it unfavorable for In addition, we consider domain wall be negligible effect.

Extrinsic and intrinsic charge trapping at the graphene/ferroelectric interface.

The interface between graphene and the ferroelectric superlattice PbTiO3/SrTiO3 (PTO/STO) is studied. Tuning the transition temperature through the PTO/STO volume fraction minimizes the adorbates at the graphene/ferroelectric interface, allowing robust ferroelectric hysteresis to be demonstrated. "Intrinsic" charge traps from the ferroelectric surface defects can adversely affect the graphene c...

Topological magnetoelectric effect decay.

We address the influence of realistic disorder and finite doping on the effective magnetic monopole induced near the surface of an ideal topological insulator (TI) by currents that flow in response to a suddenly introduced external electric charge. We show that when the longitudinal conductivity σ(xx)=g(e(2)/h)≠0, the apparent position of a magnetic monopole initially retreats from the TI surfa...

Magnetoelectric effect in nanogranular FeCo-MgF films at GHz frequencies

The magnetoelectric effect is a key issue for material science and is particularly significant in the high frequency band, where it is indispensable in industrial applications. Here, we present for the first time, a study of the high frequency tunneling magneto-dielectric (TMD) effect in nanogranular FeCo-MgF films, consisting of nanometer-sized magnetic FeCo granules dispersed in an MgF insula...
