Extreme Poleward Expanding Super Plasma Bubbles Over Asia‐Pacific Region Triggered by Tonga Volcano Eruption During the Recovery‐Phase of Geomagnetic Storm

چکیده
The Tonga volcano eruption of 15 January 2022 unleashed a variety atmospheric perturbations, coinciding with the recovery-phase geomagnetic storm. ensuing thermospheric variations created rare display extreme poleward-expanding conjugate plasma bubbles seen in rate total electron content index over 100–150°E, reaching ∼40°N geographic latitude. This is associated fluctuations FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 (F7/C2) ion-density measurements and spread-F ionograms. Preceding to this, an unusually strong pre-reversal enhancement (PRE) occurred global ionospheric specification (GIS) density profiles derived from F7/C2 observations. GIS also revealed decrease equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA) crest due storm impact. Reduced E-region conductivity by volcano-induced waves enhanced F-region wind, further accelerated reduced ion-drag EIA, apparently intensified PRE. Accompanied PRE, seed perturbations triggered super bubble activity.

Tsunami wave generation by the eruption of underwater volcano
Eruption of volcanoes represents one of important origins of tsunami waves and is responsible for most catastrophic tsunami (Krakatau, 1883; Thira, BC). The products of volcano eruption include solids, liquids (lava) and gases. The present article presents hydrodynamic model of relatively slow process of eruption, with domination of liquids. The process of underwater eruption of lava causes the...
متن کاملextremal region detection guided by maxima of gradient magnitude
a problem of computer vision applications is to detect regions of interest under dif- ferent imaging conditions. the state-of-the-art maximally stable extremal regions (mser) detects affine covariant regions by applying all possible thresholds on the input image, and through three main steps including: 1) making a component tree of extremal regions’ evolution (enumeration), 2) obtaining region ...
Predictability of Volcano Eruption: lessons from a basaltic effusive volcano
Volcano eruption forecast remains a challenging and controversial problem despite the fact that data from volcano monitoring significantly increased in quantity and quality during the last decades. This study uses pattern recognition techniques to quantify the predictability of the 15 Piton de la Fournaise (PdlF) eruptions in the 1988-2001 period using increase of the daily seismicity rate as a...
متن کاملThe Automatic Predictability of Super Geomagnetic Storm from Halo CMEs Associated with Large Solar Flares
We investigate the relationship between magnetic structures of CME source regions and geomagnetic storms, in particular the super storms when the Dst index decreases below -200nT. By examining all full halo CMEs that erupted between 1996 and 2004, we selected 73 events associated with M and X-class solar flares, which have a clearly identifiable source region. By analyzing daily full disk MDI m...
متن کاملGPS observations of the ionospheric F2-layer behavior during the 20th November 2003 geomagnetic storm over South Korea
The ionospheric F2-layer peak density (NmF2) and its height (hmF2) are of great influence on the shape of the ionospheric electron density profile Ne (h) and may be indicative of other physical processes within the ionosphere, especially those due to geomagnetic storms. Such parameters are often estimated using models such as the semiempirical international reference ionosphere (IRI) models or ...
