چکیده
Abstract. Solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) has previously been shown to strongly correlate with gross primary productivity (GPP); however this relationship not yet quantified for the recently launched TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI). Here we use a Gaussian mixture model develop parsimonious between SIF from TROPOMI and GPP flux towers across conterminous United States (CONUS). The indicates SIF–GPP can be characterized by linear two terms. We then estimate CONUS at 500 m spatial resolution over 16 d moving window. observe four extreme precipitation events that induce regional anomalies: drought in western Texas, flooding midwestern US, South Dakota, California. Taken together, these account 28 % of year-to-year differences CONUS. Despite large anomalies, find varies less than 4 2018 2019.

Extreme events in gross primary production: a characterization across continents
Climate extremes can affect the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems, for instance via a reduction of the photosynthetic capacity or alterations of respiratory processes. Yet the dominant regional and seasonal effects of hydrometeorological extremes are still not well documented and in the focus of this paper. Specifically, we quantify and characterize the role of large spatiotemporal extreme ...

Aim: As to the assessment of occlusal status pertaining to primary canines and molars, the latter is less within reach as it is difficult to guide jaws towards a centric occlusion while maintaining a vintage point in both direct and indirect observation. This study was originally intended to assess primary canine occlusion as a practical indicator in the evaluation of primary molar occlusion, ...
متن کاملEvaluation of rangeland gross primary productivity sensitivity potential to drought using ecosystem modelling
Gross primary productivity is one of the most important factors in the carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystems. With global warming increase, the frequent drought events and the specific response of regional vegetation to these changes, it is essential to identify and quantify the relationships between climatic and GPP data in arid region. In this study, the responses of gross primary productivi...

متن کاملTwenty-million-year relationship between mammalian diversity and primary productivity.
At global and regional scales, primary productivity strongly correlates with richness patterns of extant animals across space, suggesting that resource availability and climatic conditions drive patterns of diversity. However, the existence and consistency of such diversity-productivity relationships through geological history is unclear. Here we provide a comprehensive quantitative test of the...
