Extraction and reimmobilization of used commercial lipase from industrial waste

In industrial application, immobilized lipase are typically not reused and served as waste after a certain process is completed. The capacity on the reusability of spent well studied. This current study embarks reusing remaining from enzyme. Active lipases were recovered using simple reverse micellar extraction (RME). RME targeted biomolecules an organic solvent surfactant. method was first attempt reported recovery used lipase. done nonionic Triton X-100 surfactant toluene. Various parameters optimized to maximize optimum forward condition 0.075 M KCl, backward conditions at 0.15 X-100/toluene (pH 6, 2 KCl) with 66%. extracted via adsorption into ethanol pretreated carrier. immobilization resulted in 96% reimmobilized. reimmobilized incubated for 20 h pH 6 buffer 50 °C water bath shaker. still had 27% residual activity 18 incubation, which higher thermal stability compared free conclusion, successfully new support. It exhibited high stability, will promote continued use reduce cost manufacturing process.
