Extracellular Vesicles and Ovarian Cancer

چکیده
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are a varied group of cell-derived, microscopic, fluid-filled pouches released from cells into neighboring microenvironments that quickly gaining recognition as potentially powerful tool against epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Recent studies show not only do EVs play an integral part in the development through intercellular communication, cell survival, and immune modulation but also may assist with early diagnosis improved treatments. EOC currently has few effective screening options for detection this disease; and, therefore, it is detected at advanced stage where more likely to recur, develop chemoresistance, ultimately become fatal. Newer research evaluated biomarkers novel targets treatment EOC. Moreover, possible immunomodulatory therapies directly target or make susceptible other modalities. Therefore, present exciting, promising approach which improve clinical outcome patients.

EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES AND THEIR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS: A REVIEW
Background & Aims: Extracellular vesicles are double phospholipid layer vesicles releasing from several cells. These particles contain bio-molecules including mRNA, miRNA, DNA, proteins, and lipids which play a pivotal role in the cell to cell communication. Once delivered, they participate to change target cell function, fate, morphology, differentiation, and growth. The present study is a re...

Introduction: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) contain active biological compounds which play important roles in biological processes. The secretion of EVs is a common phenomenon which occurs in archaea, bacteria and mammalian cells. The secretion of bacterial EVs has been discovered in various species of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Faecalibacterium prausnitzii is one of the comm...
متن کاملExtracellular Vesicles from Ovarian Carcinoma Cells Display Specific Glycosignatures
Cells release vesicles to the extracellular environment with characteristic nucleic acid, protein, lipid, and glycan composition. Here we have isolated and characterized extracellular vesicles (EVs) and total cell membranes (MBs) from ovarian carcinoma OVMz cells. EVs were enriched in specific markers, including Tsg101, CD63, CD9, annexin-I, and MBs contained markers of cellular membrane compar...

Solid tumors are likely derived from the coevolution of neoplastic cells, stromal components, vasculature, and immune cells (1). As tumors evolve and progress, an array of molecular changes accumulate giving rise to multiple cell subpopulations, each with the ability to divide and mutate further. In addition, neoplastic cell populations are able to modulate the behavior of other types of cells ...

Mammalian cells secrete various extracellular vesicles (EVs; exosomes, microvesicles, and apoptotic bodies) that differ in biogenesis, composition, and function. Each vesicle type can originate from normal or cancerous cells, transfer molecular cargo to both neighboring and distant cells, and modulate cellular behaviors involved in eubiology and pathology, such as tumor development. Here, we re...
