Extension Coordinated Multi-Objective Adaptive Cruise Control Integrated with Direct Yaw Moment Control

An adaptive cruise control (ACC) system can reduce driver workload and improve safety by taking over the longitudinal of vehicles. Nowadays, with development range sensors V2X technology, ACC has been applied to curved conditions. Therefore, in curving car-following process, it is necessary simultaneously consider performance, ride comfort, fuel economy lateral stability vehicle. The direct yaw moment (DYC) effectively vehicle applying different forces wheels. However, various objectives above will conflict each other some cases. To overall performance realize coordination between these objectives, extension introduced design real-time weight matrix under a multi-objective model predictive (MPC) framework. driver-in-the-loop (DIL) tests on driving simulator are conducted results show that proposed method objectives.
