Expression of TNF-α in oral cancer: A prospective diagnostic and prognostic molecular biomarker
نویسندگان
چکیده
TNF-α is a multifunctional cytokine that regulates cell proliferation and differentiation, as well immunological host defense responses to infection. It also induces angiogenesis, modulates tissue remodeling, controls apoptosis.TNF-α pleiotropic, pro-inflammatory has the potential be both pro-tumorigenic anti-tumorigenic. can cytotoxic tumour cells, slowing progression or causing necrosis, it enhance proliferation, migration, survival of cells in oral cancer cells. Several research studies clearly imply its soluble receptors could effective detecting, staging, predicting prognosis variety malignancies, including tumours. Well many were conducted detect actual response TNF- α, but lack knowledge understanding true towards precancer

Is Ep-CAM Expression a Diagnostic and Prognostic Biomarker for Colorectal Cancer? A Systematic Meta-Analysis
BACKGROUND Cancer stem cell (CSC) epithelial cell adhesion molecule (Ep-CAM) is frequently expressed in colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the clinical significance of Ep-CAM expression in CRC is not clear. This study evaluated whether Ep-CAM provided valuable insight as a molecular biomarker for CRC diagnosis and prognosis and the potential of Ep-CAM as a novel therapeutic target in CRC. METH...
متن کاملSalivary IL-8, IL-6 and TNF-α as Potential Diagnostic Biomarkers for Oral Cancer
Saliva has been useful as a liquid biopsy for the diagnosis of various oral or systemic diseases, and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is no exception. While its early detection and prevention is important, salivary cytokines expression, specifically of Interleukin-8 (IL-8), Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and Tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), does contribute to the pathogenesis of cancer and these cytoki...
متن کاملEvaluating the Expression of Oct4 as a Prognostic Tumor Marker in Bladder Cancer
Objective(s)The key transcriptional regulator Oct4 is one of the self-renewal and differentiation-related factors in cancer stem cells, where it maintains "stemness" state. Cancer stem cells have been identified in a variety of solid malignancies. They are a small population of tumor cells with stem cell characteristics, which are a likely cause of relapse in cancer patients. Due to high incide...
متن کاملAdenosine Deaminase - a Novel Diagnostic and Prognostic Biomarker for Oral SCC
Failure or delay in the early diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is one of the primary causes of high mortality and morbidity in cancer patients (Ferlay et al., 2004). Further insights into the mechanisms leading to malignancy are prerequisite for identifying new biomarkers for OSCC from the serum. The idea of screening and following patients with malignancy by serum analysis is a...
متن کاملOral Cancer Biomarkers - as Powerful Diagnostic and Prognostic Tools
Oral carcinogenesis is considered to be a highly complex, molecular and histologically multistage process, which is often localized in the oral cavity, may metastasize and spread out resulting in the onset of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck (SCCHN). Among all the oral cancers, the frequency with which OSCC (Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma) (arising from the lining mucosa) occurs is the hi...
