Expression of Nuclear Factor – kappa B (NF-kB) in Human Breast Cancer Stem Cells (CD 24-/CD 44+) Treated with H2O2 and Its Relationship with Cell Viability

Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the highest causes death from in women Indonesia. This partly due to resistance ROS-based therapies such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy. stem cells (cancer cells, CSCs) have a role this mechanism. Previous studies demonstrated ability CSC survive oxidative stress conditions rotenone administration. Therefore, study an analysis was carried out on transcription factor NF-kB breast both CSCs Non CSCs, related maintaining survival under stress. Methods: The conducted human (CD24-/CD44+) non (CD24-/CD44-) which were given H2O2 at concentrations 1.1µM, 11µM, 110µM with control not H2O2. Assessment parameters mRNA expression, cell viability. Results: Administration concentration 11µM showed significant increase expression NFk-B compared (p<0.05). As for viability test results, all it appears that able maintain its experienced decrease Conclusion: In study, administration led so could be maintained.
