Exploration, isolation and characterization of indigenous rhizobacteria from patchouli rhizosphere as PGPR candidates in producing IAA and solubilizing phosphate

Abstract Microorganisms that are active and aggressive colonizing the rhizosphere known as rhizobacteria. They able to act biofertilizers, bioprotectants, biostimulants bioremediation. This study aims identify characterize groups of rhizobacteria present in patchouli can produce IAA compounds have ability solubilize phosphate soil. Soil samples were taken from at Purwosari Village, Nagan Raya, Aceh Province, Indonesia. used quantitative qualitative descriptive analysis through serial dilutions obtain rhizobacterial strains. Parameters observed macroscopic microscopic characteristics, gram test, production solubilization. The obtained 37 isolates (PS), comprising 25 positive 12 negative. PS 5/1 produced lowest 21.66 ppm, whereas isolate 5/6 C highest 83.38 ppm. Twenty-five could while remaining did not this ability. 7/1 resulted PSI 2.55 8/7 1.33. solubilizing potential be PGPR candidates.
