Exploiting dijet resonance searches for flavor physics

In this work, we reinterpret ATLAS and CMS dijet resonance searches to set robust constraints on all hypothetical tree-level scalar vector mediators with masses up 5 TeV, assuming a diquark or quark-antiquark coupling an arbitrary flavor composition. To illustrate the application of these general results, quantify permissible size new physics in $\bar B_q\to D_q^{(*)+} \,\{\pi, K\}$ consistent absence signal searches. Along way, perform full SMEFT analysis aforementioned non-leptonic $B$ meson decays at leading-order $\alpha_s$. Our findings uncover pressing tension between explanations recently reported anomalies resonant The high-$p_T$ are crucial drain parameter space low-$p_T$ data.
