Theoretical Implications of Microwave Background Radiation Anisotropy Experiments
Observational results from several experiments like COBE, SP, Saskatoon, PYTHON, ARGO, MAX, MSAM, Tenerife and CAT are considered and a comparison is made with predictions from several models. Conclusions are reached about the viability of current structure formation models.
متن کاملA new view of radiation-induced cancer.
Biologically motivated mathematical models are important for understanding the mechanisms of radiation-induced carcinogenesis. Existing models fall into two categories: (1) short-term formalisms, which focus on the processes taking place during and shortly after irradiation (effects of dose, radiation quality, dose rate and fractionation), and (2) long-term formalisms, which track background ca...
متن کاملProbe-Fed Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas,Theoretical Modeling and Experiments
A Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) is theoretically analyzed using the Conventional Dielectric Waveguide Model (CDWM), numerically simulated using the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) software package and experimentally investigated with the consideration of the fundamental mode TE 111. Antenna parameters under investigation inclu...
متن کاملViews or Points of View on Images
Images like other multimedia data need to be described as it is difficult to grasp their semantics from the raw data. With the emergence of standards like MPEG-7, multimedia data will be more and more produced together some semantic descriptors. But a description of a multimedia data is just an interpretation, a point of view on the data and different interpretations can exist for the same mult...
متن کاملTheoretical Interpretation of the Experiments on Parametric X-ray Radiation in Case of Backward Diffraction
The spectral-angular and angular distributions of parametric X-radiation for case of backward diffraction (particular case of Bragg geometry scheme) is discussed. It is shown that in case of Bragg geometry it is necessary to use dynamical approach for PXR consideration. The comparison of the theory and experiment is carried out.
