Experimental Study on Interface Model of Asphalt Pavement under Vertical Load

Layered asphalt pavement makes the interlayer contact more complicated. In order to further understand characteristics of interface under vehicle load, this paper analyzes change rule a vertical load condition, based on Goodman model. According pavement, experiment temperature, gradation, amount viscosity-level oil, type and compressive stress are taken as parameters, universal testing machine (UTM) self-modified test fixture used carry out direct shear test. Experimental results show that has significant effect interface. With an increase in maximum bonding coefficient changes greatly. Additionally, when is constant, temperature spreading oil have strong influence state. decreases. The adhesion increases first then decreases with increasing amount. best amounts between upper middle layers, lower layer cement-stabilized base different conditions recommended. This study offers important guidance for designing structure.
