Experimental Study on Bending Resistance of New Type Joint of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Pile

In the field of PHC pile joints, it is important that prestressed high-strength concrete pipe piles are referred to as piles. conventional hoops, bamboo-like joints protrude from joint position at surface pile. Driving in, disturbing soil around pile, and affecting frictional resistance serious issues. To address such issues, herein, a new type clamping proposed. A method presented determine size flushed with position. Bending tests conducted on four types for common study deformation development process, bending bearing capacity, damage characteristics joints. Cracks mainly distributed in pure section approximately symmetrically along both sides joint; there no obvious cracking until cracks. Under same moment, deflection span all specimens greater than loading point.
